SGN have informed me that their Poulters Lane project has progressed extremely well over the past four weeks.
They have replaced over 570 metres of their old gas main from South Farm Road to Offington Gardens. They have also replaced the service pipes to each individual property between these roads.
SGN's engineers will now work to upgrade the remaining pipes between Offington Gardens and Offington Lane. They also need to connect sections of their new gas main across the Offington Drive/Loxwood Avenue junction.
On Saturday 8 October and Sunday 9 October, SGN carried out a section of work at the mini roundabout on South Farm Road at its junction with Poulters Lane. They put in temporary two-way lights in place at the roundabout for two days. They did this in order to to carry out the work at the weekend to minimise disruption to motorists.
They have said they will provide a further update on their progress on Friday 14 October.
