Update on Warren Road roadworks, Worthing

More needless disruption on our roads — this time on the busy Warren Road in Worthing where a lane has been closed off and temporary traffic lights put up, causing congestion and chaos.

As you can see, all the work is going on on the verge, not on the road itself, so why has an entire lane been closed off?

I spoke to the workmen who told me that tarmac was drying but that does not take all day. After these complaints traffic lights are being removed in the afternoon and now promised will not be needed by the end of the week though the work is scheduled to carry on until October 23rd.

I am determined to get pointless road disruptions out of Worthing, and I will keep giving utility companies a hard time until they start thinking of motorists and residents. Meanwhile thank you for your examples of disruptive roadworks - please keep sending them in.
