Private Member's Bill published

My Private Member's Bill has finally been published. Tomorrow (Friday 2nd Feb) my Bill will hopefully, with the support of the Government and other MPs, pass through the first stage in a long process.

My Bill will create equal civil partnerships, allow mothers' names to be put onto marriage certificates, allow coroners' to investigate stillbirths and review how stillbirths are registered.

It has been a complicated process to get to this stage and have the wording of the Bill agreed. However this is just the start of the process and I will keep you updated as it goes through the different stages in Parliament.

You can see the Bill here: https://services.parliament.uk/bills/2017-19/civilpartnershipsmarriagesanddeathsregistrationetc.html
