Opening up the aid budget to small local charities across the UK

The Small Charities Challenge Fund is the first fund from the Department for International Development (DFID) tailored to the needs of small, grassroots British charities doing outstanding humanitarian and development work. With their expertise and dedication, these small charities are a crucial part of the UK’s offer on international development. This fund will help them to scale up and increase the reach and effectiveness of the work they already do to help the world’s poorest and most marginalised people. Grants of up to £50,000 will be available for projects lasting up to 2 years.
