Lancing Business Park is a great local, success story: it is home to 230 businesses employing 3,200 local people. However it is almost full and our local businesses need room to expand into.
New Monks Farm is one of the few remaining available pieces of land in the area and would be an ideal location for a new high tech, high skill business park to support our great local businesses.
This is yet another reason why I think IKEA is in the wrong place and why I will continue to oppose it being included as part of the development.
