Net migration to UK shows a significant fall, with the latest official figures showing net migration to Britain fell by 106,000 to 230,000 in the 12 months to June. The fall is notably in those coming to the UK without job offers. You can read the report online. Key facts are:

- More students are choosing the UK (a 6% increase), especially for the Russell Group universities;
- More high skilled individuals are applying (Tier 1 visas are up 38%);
- Tourism to the UK is booming, with visitor visas up by 11%; and
- More EU citizens are arriving than leaving, contradicting reports in parts of the media.
