My 'Civil Partnerships, Marriages and Deaths Bill' had a second reading in the House of Lords on Friday the 18th January, being led by Baroness Hodgson.

It will now enter Committee stage on the 1st of February, followed by the Report stage on the 1st March, and the 3rd reading in the House of Lords on 7th March.

Busting the Myths on Animal Welfare

There has been some misleading information circulating recently about the Government's commitment to animal welfare, which I wanted to correct. The Kept Animals Bill contained many important measures, such as banning live animal exports, preventing pet theft and tackling livestock worrying.
