Dame Lowell Goddard, the former head of the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA), has said she will not appear before the Home Affairs Select Committee to answer questions about her time in charge.
Dame Lowell Goddard said for her to be summoned would compromise the inquiry's "independence and integrity".
Her response is really unhelpful, obstructive and arrogant. She has been asked three times to appear in front of the HASC but has refused three times. It is an affront to this House and to the inquiry.
