Today we announced our intention to ban the sale of plastic straws, drink stirrers and cotton buds, and called on other Commonwealth countries to join us.
Plastic waste is one of the greatest environment challenges facing the world, which is why protecting the marine environment is central to our agenda at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
The Conservatives are committed to building a cleaner, greener Britain for future generations, and leaving our natural environment in a better state than we currently find it.
