“Last week we had the welcome news about the preferred route for the Arundel bypass on the A27 at a likely cost of just over £250m yet just down the road on the A27 in my constituency, in Worthing, a town 10x the size of Arundel, we were allocated just £70m in the RIS1 (Road Investment Strategy) back in 2014 and all we’ve seen so far are inadequate for a tinkering of junctions and improving cycle routes.”
